out of all her clients, you were the easiest.
sevika shouldn’t have been as surprised as she was, given the research she’d conducted. you were the youngest of four daughters, and the public fed off your penchant for privacy. finding someone like you in her line of work was a rarity: no scandals to cover up, no carefully curated drama for the tabloids. your reputation preceded you—sweet, quiet, and often tired. a homebody, mel had said with an almost indulgent smirk when sevika was handed the assignment.
“you’re lucky,” she added. “the others are a handful.”
sevika didn’t believe in luck.
the flat where she first met you was a monument to your family’s wealth. still it was tasteful—ornate without being garish, quiet grandeur woven into every polished surface. it was the kind of space that swallowed sound and softened the world's edges.
your apartment was beautiful in a way that felt intentional but not performative. soft cream and powder blue walls were traced with delicate vines and florals, the details long faded. it wasn’t pristine—scuffs on the wooden floor and fingerprints smudged onto the low, sculptural table in the center—but it was lived-in, loved in a way that gave the space its warmth.
the table itself was an anchor—organic and raw, its uneven edges smoothed by time, surrounded by cushions in muted grays and pale pinks that had lost some of their color to the steady heat of the sun. a shelf of books stretched to the ceiling, its rows crowded with novels and photography volumes, with stacks of loose papers and half-burnt cigarettes scattered between them. the window beside it was cracked open just enough to let in the sound of rustling leaves, the faint scent of rain-soaked greenery curling through the room like an invisible flatmate.
golden lamps shaped like oversized fans stood at either end of the space, their light pooling onto the woven rug beneath. it cast the room in a kind of half-glow—soft, forgiving—blurring the edges of things just enough to make them feel closer. there was something fragile about how it all fit together like it had been arranged for someone who might leave it behind at any moment.
and yet, it felt distinctly like you. the powdered jasmine in the air, the book splayed open on the armchair, the small dish of rings by the window—it was a home that asked nothing of you but to exist in it. sevika’s stormy gaze caught on an abandoned note on the window sill, the script delicate and curling.
cochem, it read. i miss you. i want to come back to you. i want to disappear inside of you and have you love me again. i want to get lost in the german morning. no one will ever know me, and i’ll be happy, less unfulfilled.
she fingered the edges of the paper, sun-bleached and flaking. then she began to walk again, navigating to what looked like the open door of your study.
you were waiting for her inside, perched in an armchair too big for your frame, as if the room had been designed to diminish you. at first glance, you looked as delicate as the furniture you sat on, barefaced and bathed in soft afternoon light that filtered through sheer curtains. it was the kind of light that made everything look fragile and translucent.
you wore an ivory blouse, thin and shimmering with embroidery that seemed to grow out of the fabric like frost patterns on glass. the neckline skimmed your collarbones, modest but deliberate, while the sleeves flared past your wrists, draping like petals. the cinched waist and pale drawstrings might have belonged to someone dressing for comfort, but on you, it was something else entirely—careless elegance.
the sweatpants should have broken the illusion. they didn’t. instead, they made you seem more unreachable, more unstudied. as if you’d wandered into this world from somewhere else—someplace softer—and were still too young to realize you didn’t belong.
sevika lingered in the doorway for a beat longer than she meant to, her presence large enough to make the room feel smaller. she expected you to bristle at the intrusion, to draw yourself up with the same cool hauteur that so often marked women of your standing. but you didn’t.
you looked up at her, eyes wide and unguarded, and smiled.
“hello,” you said. your voice was so soft, as though you feared disturbing her.
sevika’s eyes swept over you, cataloging every detail: the way your hair—long and heavy—spilled over your shoulders, catching the faint streaks of the incoming light; the way your blouse seemed to ripple as you moved, fabric clinging like a whisper to your skin.
“i’m sevika,” she said finally, voice low and steady. “your father hired my team's services to protect your family. i’ll be your bodyguard.”
you nodded and rose from the chair, the movement unhurried and deliberate. you smoothed your palms over the sides of your sweatpants—grey, nondescript, somehow lovely in the context of you—and stepped closer. you smelled faintly of something soft and fleeting: fresh linen, maybe, or soap.
“it’s nice to meet you,” you said, extending your hand, sincerity tucked neatly into every word.
sevika didn’t take it right away. there was something strange about you—something that tugged at her instincts and told her to look closer. your face was open, unguarded, but there was a sadness there, too, stitched into the curve of your mouth, in the way your lashes fell low. she watched the way you stood there, chin lifted just enough to suggest poise but not pride, eyes wide and unguarded as they searched hers for something she wasn’t used to giving.
trust.
and for the first time in a long while, sevika found herself unsure of what to do. you weren’t like the others, all obvious disdain and high expectations. nothing was demanding about you—nothing calculated or sharp. just the soft curve of your mouth, the quiet pull of your gaze, and a kindness she didn’t quite know how to meet.
she clasped your hand firmly but briefly, clearing her throat as she stepped back.
“we should go over security protocol,” she said gruffly, falling back into professionalism as a defense.
you only nodded, that same soft smile still lingering. “of course. whatever you need.”
whatever you need.
sevika didn’t believe in luck, but standing there, looking down at you—your long lashes fluttering as you turned your gaze away, the afternoon light casting faint shadows through the sheer sleeves of your blouse—she wondered, for just a second, if this was as close to it as she would ever get.
˚˖𓍢ִ໋🦢˚
it took three years for both of you to understand that your relationship had outgrown the typical bounds of client and employee. yes, intimacy was inevitable given the circumstances, but even a stranger would’ve seen something uncanny about how you and sevika were… connected, even for a bodyguard.
love affairs always look different to those inside them. you thought nothing of how deeply you needed her, how fondness for her had quietly rooted itself in you. sevika risked her body—her life—to keep you from harm, and it felt natural to bond, to grow into one another. time spent apart became more agonizing only relieved by the hours you were together, yet you ignored the weight of it.
your sisters often spoke of it, though only behind closed doors. you rarely engaged in their chatter. you had always been this way: dreamy, untethered, with a mind like mist and the heart of a prey animal. lame, your mother had called you, her voice sharp with disappointment. sickly, she added, as if naming your frailty might cure it. over time, it became easier to withdraw, to wrap yourself in silence, and let the world chatter on without you.
but with sevika, life required less effort. you rediscovered a tenderness for the act of living in her presence. she was patient, grounding. she found you tolerable even at your worst, and for that, you adored her. no one else had made you feel this way—not men, not women.
while you preferred women, you had dabbled with men, more out of curiosity than desire. it felt clinical, an attempt to decode them like puzzles, perhaps to better understand why you and your father clashed. women, on the other hand, unraveled you.
the realization of your love came in two parts. the first arrived in the languid quiet of a holiday evening at your family’s upstate estate.
you had overexerted yourself in a lagree class, and sevika, ever watchful, had drawn you a warm bath. you watched her through the crack of the bathroom door, your gaze catching on the soft swell of her hips, the worn strength in her movements as she stretched after finishing readying the bed for sleeping. you often shared when traveling. she sat on the edge of it, her familiar perch, closest to the door. she always did this.
it was the smallest things about her that undid you: the way her hair slipped loose from its strict ponytail, the gentle sway of the gold chain brushing against her collarbones. you’d bought her that chain during a weekend in stockholm. now, the sight of it filled you with a sudden, vicious envy. you wanted to be that close to her—always.
the need consumed you. your body buzzed with an unnamed energy, teetering on the edge of itself. you wanted to crawl out of your skin and into hers, to dissolve completely against her warmth. you wanted her blood to run through your veins, her marrow to fuse with yours. your desire was feral, deranged, trembling like a dying pathetic thing.
without thinking, your hand slipped between your thighs. the thought of her—the sharpness of her profile, the tender press of her hands on your waist at the farmer’s market earlier—burned in your mind. you focused on the ridge of her nose, her beautiful nose. everything about her pleased you.
your fingertips pressed harder into the rosy pearl of your clit, and with a wounded cry, you came undone, trembling, your gaze locked on her through the crack in the door.
as if summoned by your thoughts, sevika lifted her head and met your eyes. her stern gaze pinned you, and you sank beneath the water with sudden embarrassment, your skin flush with heat.
˚˖𓍢ִ໋🦢˚
the next morning, your pleasure still lingered via a morning glow on your skin. you woke to find sevika beside you, her strong shoulders rising and falling with the rhythm of her sleep. you lifted a hand and stroked her brow, cooing softly as she murmured from somewhere deep within her sleep.
she, you thought, is every woman i’ve ever wanted.
˚˖𓍢ִ໋🦢˚
the second realization came during an attempt to kill you.
you were the chosen target—a calculated decision. your public image, carefully nurtured by those who sought to use you, made your death a tragedy worth orchestrating. the explosive had been hidden cleverly in the heart of your favorite restaurant, the one you frequented for its thick slices of fresh bread and macadamia milk.
when it detonated, your world fractured. your vision blurred, your ears rang, and blood trickled warm and sticky down your face. the floor rose to meet you, the lacquered wood pressing cold against your cheek. the world went in and out like the weak signal of a radio. someone was screaming—it might have been your mother, though you doubted she cared enough to wail like that.
through the haze, a hand cupped your jaw, firm but careful, and your head was turned until your eyes locked on sevika’s. her gray gaze steadied you, cutting through the chaos. you raised a hand, your french manicured tips trailing lightly against her cheek. one of them, you noticed, was broken.
“[name]. [name], look at me. don’t take your eyes off me.”
“vika,” you whispered, the name slipping from your lips like a prayer. for the first time, you saw fear flicker across her face.
“it’s me,” she said softly. “you’re going to be fine, but i need to get you up. i need to get you out of here.”
you didn’t want to move. here, cradled in her hands, was where you wanted to stay.
“i can hold you, princess,” she murmured, her voice impossibly tender. “if that’s what you want. but i have to move you first. deep breath, okay? here we go.”
she lifted you as though you weighed nothing, her strength unyielding. you clung to her, your broken nails digging into her skin as she carried you through the wreckage. bodies lay strewn across the floor, and your heart broke when you recognized the familiar face of a favorite server.
“it’s okay,” sevika said, her voice a steady anchor. “look at me. just keep looking at me.”
and you did. your gaze drifted to the soft curve of her throat; your face tilted toward her as though she were the sun.
when she laid you on the stretcher, a terrible fear seized you. you reached for her, desperation clawing at your chest.
“stay with me. bitte. bitte, ich flehe dich an.”
sevika froze. if it had been anyone else, she might have refused and headed back to assess the security breach. but it wasn’t anyone else. it was you.
“i’m right behind you, sweetheart,” she promised, her hand pressing firmly to your stomach. “right behind you. just in that car.”
“danke, vika,” you murmured, your voice breaking. “du bist das, was ich brauche. nur du.”
even as the ambulance doors closed, your eyes never left her. you focused on the faint hum of her engine trailing behind you, the sound steady against the fevered rush of your heart.
˚˖𓍢ִ໋🦢˚
sevika was unforgiving after that, and you selfishly enjoyed the over-attention.
she stole you away, back to your flat, and hovered. always within reach, always watching, her presence as constant as the air you breathed. you hated it. you loved it.
she insisted on being in the room while you bathed, while you ate, while you tried to pretend your body wasn’t trembling from the aftershocks of the explosion. the weight of her gaze pressed into your skin like a second layer. she dressed your wounds with quiet efficiency, her fingers steady but firm, and even when you flinched, she refused to soften her touch.
“you should’ve told me this one was hurting,” she murmured one evening, crouched at your side with a damp cloth in hand. her voice was scolding, but there was an undercurrent of something wounded beneath it—something that hadn’t healed properly since the restaurant.
“it’s fine,” you said, looking anywhere but at her.
“it’s not fine,” she snapped, gripping your wrist a little too tightly before loosening her hold. “you don’t tell me when you’re in pain. you don’t—” she stopped herself, shaking her head as if to clear it.
her jaw worked, muscles tight, and you stared at the curve of her throat as she leaned over you, wiping dried blood away with the kind of precision that only made your chest ache.
“you’re smothering me,” you said softly, more to yourself than her, but her head snapped up like you’d struck her.
“you almost died,” she bit out, and the words made you flinch harder than her grip.
“but i didn’t,” you countered, hating the way your voice trembled.
you could be such a child. it crippled you, your desire to please her, to be less burdensome. she’d kill you if she knew what you were thinking. thank god it was your secret.
sevika’s lips parted, but no words came. just that unfaltering, infuriating look—one that said she knew better, that she always knew better, and that you knew this to be true. you raised a finger, traced the glistening edges of her teeth. she kept her mouth open; she never bit down.
and then one evening, you decided you’d had enough.
“i’m going out,” you said, pulling a thick coat of fur—vintage—over your shoulders.
sevika, seated in the chair by the window, didn’t look up from the blade she was sharpening. “no, you’re not.”
“yes, i am,” you replied, voice clipped.
her eyes flicked up to meet yours, the air thickening.
“why would i agree to that?” she asked, standing slowly, her full height suddenly overwhelming in the small space. “why would i let you walk out of here after i almost lost you last time?”
you laughed bitterly, shaking your head.
“let me? you’re not my keeper, vika.”
“really?” she said, stepping closer, her voice dropping to a dangerous octave. “should we do another read of my contact? i’m the person who pulled you out of the rubble. i’m the person who’s been keeping you alive, no thanks to your recklessness.”
“recklessness?” you snapped, whirling to face her fully. “if you’ve learned anything these past years, it is that i am rarely reckless. you promised me. you said you wouldn't be another dictator. you know what my life’s been like. i am allowed to have a life outside of this, outside of what has happened to me.”
her nostrils flared, and for a moment, she just stared at you, her chest rising and falling rapidly.
“you think i’m doing this for me?” she asked, her voice rough, uneven. “you think i like this?”
“yes,” you spat, the frustration spilling out of you in an unstoppable wave. “this is the most excitement i’ve given you. you must think i’m so fucking boring all of the time. so, yes, i think you’re enjoying it. it makes you feel important. ”
something in her cracked. she closed the distance between you in two steps, her hand shooting out to grip your chin, tilting your face up to hers.
“i'm enjoying this?” she growled, her breath hot against your skin. “watching you get hurt? wondering if this time i’ll be too late? don’t mistake my care for control.”
her grip softened, her thumb brushing your jaw, and suddenly, the room felt unbearably small. you could see the pulse in her throat, the heat in her gaze as her eyes searched yours.
“sevika,” you said. your self-righteousness had passed, and you were so deeply ashamed. “vika, that was unfair. i’m sorry. forgive me.”
her hand dropped to your waist, pulling you closer until you could feel the solid warmth of her body against yours. her breath was shallow, her jaw tight, but her eyes—god, her eyes. they burned with something that made your knees weak.
“bitte,” you whispered.
“i’m trying,” she said, her voice trembling, “to keep you safe. to keep myself from—”
she cut herself off, her gaze flicking to your lips. and before you could say anything, before you could breathe, her mouth was on yours.
the kiss was searing, all teeth and desperation, her hand tightening on your waist as if she was afraid you might disappear. you gasped against her, your hands finding their way to her shoulders, her neck, her hair. but just as quickly as it began, it ended. she pulled back, her breathing ragged, her eyes dark and stormy.
“don’t push me like that again,” she said, her voice barely more than a whisper.
and then she was gone, the door slamming shut behind her, leaving you alone with the echo of her touch.
you crumpled like a paper doll and began to sob. outside, sevika, having turned back, pressed her forehead against the wall. absent-mindedly, the fingers of her prosthetic twitched and aborted their motions, jerking against the door as if fighting to feel you there.
˚˖𓍢ִ໋🦢˚
you needed to repay her for your abhorrent behavior.
you tried through what you knew: lavish breakfasts, waking up early to purchase her favorite flowers and sweets. you’d even carefully cleaned and oiled her prosthetic. sevika said nothing, if only not to further provoke your guilt, but you could tell she felt it was unnecessary. she was always too easy on you.
the universe, however, seemed to agree with you, and the opportunity to protect sevika came faster than you ever expected.
it was another attempt, this time at a crowded gala in the heart of the city. you hadn’t wanted to go, but sevika had insisted—you wanted to go out. besides, you need to be seen. send a message. and she had been there, of course, always in the background, a silent shadow at your side.
you saw the glint of the blade before she did.
it was instinct. your body moved before your mind caught up, and suddenly, you were between sevika and the would-be assassin, your arm jerking upward to deflect the strike with the heavy bracelet you wore. the metal screeched against the blade, and a sharp pain radiated up your arm, but you didn’t falter.
with your other hand, you snatched a knife from the cocktail table behind you. it was small but sharp, and you used it without hesitation. you didn’t feel the burn of the blade as it nicked your palm on the thrust; you only felt the sickening resistance of flesh before the assailant crumpled at your feet.
“get down!” sevika’s voice was a thunderclap, her hand gripping your shoulder as she shoved you behind her. she moved with terrifying precision, her body a blur of strength and fury as she assessed the situation in seconds.
the room was instantly bursting with chaos. a flash of silver caught your eye as sevika swung her prosthetic arm, sending one of the other assailants sprawling. blood slicked the floor, and the copper tang of it hung heavy in the air. your ears rang with the cacophony of fists, steel, and slit flesh.
you shouldn’t have done that; you knew this. the headlines would be more than money could hide.
“fuck!” sevika’s voice cut through the din, sharp and furious, as she turned to find you standing there, breathing hard, your hands stained red. “what the hell did you do?”
“i—i had to,” you stammered, your chest heaving. “you didn’t see him—”
she grabbed your arm, dragging you toward the far side of the room where the air was clearer and less stifling. the fight was dwindling; the attackers were now being rounded up by security, but sevika’s fury was just beginning.
“what were you thinking?” she hissed, her voice trembling. “do you have a death wish?”
you ripped your arm from her grasp, your own anger bubbling to the surface.
“i was saving you! or would you rather i let him stab you in the back?”
“i don’t need you to save me!” she snapped, stepping closer, her broad shoulders towering over you.
“maybe i need to,” you shot back, tears pricking at your eyes. “i refuse to just sit here and watch you die for me. i won’t. you can’t ask that of me.”
her expression faltered, the rage in her eyes dimming, replaced by something heavier, something more understanding. she often forgot how young you were.
“princess, it's not—you don’t understand,” she said. “if anything happened to you—”
“you’d what?” you interrupted, your voice wavering as you stared up at her. “fall apart? i wouldn’t be any different, vika. you're far from inconsequential. i could not survive a world without you.”
the silence between you was deafening. her gaze dropped to your trembling hands, still clutching the bloodied knife, and she let out a low, shuddering breath. more security personnel arrived, breaking the stalemate. the room was secured, and sevika took that as her cue to remove you from the premises, dragging you through the back corridors, her hand iron-tight around your wrist.
the moment the door to your shared suite slammed shut, she spun on you. her eyes glistened as she glared at you, her body taut like a bowstring.
“you don’t get it, do you?” she said, stepping closer. “i can’t—” she broke off, her hands clenched into fists at her sides.
“you can’t what?” you asked, shifting toward her. “vika, tell me.”
her jaw worked, the muscles in her neck tightening as she tried to hold herself together.
“i feel like i’m so close to losing you,” she said finally, her voice low and broken.
the words hit you like a punch to the chest.
“you won’t,” you whispered, your voice trembling. “i can’t be without you in any way. i won’t allow it.”
her eyes locked onto yours, and for a moment, neither of you moved. the space between you was so heavy. all you wanted was to smooth the worried line of her forehead, to share water with her, and wipe her clean.
“you can’t promise that,” she said finally.
you watched as she turned from you and slipped into the bathroom to begin getting ready for bed.
˚˖𓍢ִ໋🦢˚
she woke up with your head between her thighs.
sevika might’ve been more pleased about it if it wasn’t in the middle of the night. still, it wasn’t the worst way to come to.
the warmth spidered from her thighs to her hips before coiling tightly in her stomach. her eyes fluttered open, disoriented and struggling to focus. she heard you first: the wet suck of your mouth against her swollen, brown folds. you moaned somewhere deep and hidden in your chest, your hands tightening around the thickness of her thighs even though she was not yet bucking.
it took a while for her to place herself, and then it crashed into her all at once. she gasped and tucked a hand into your hair, which you removed so that you could intertwine your fingers, pressing them away from her head.
you unlatched from her and pressed a soft kiss into her stomach.
“stay still,” you commanded. “please.”
she allowed it.
you worked at her over and over, pushing the back the hood of her clit so you could roll it between your fingers like a rosy pearl. sevika let her pleasure crest until she shuddered into an unearthly orgasm, her legs snapping shut around your head just as a roll of thunder sounded through the early morning.
"couldn’t sleep?" she rasped.
you slowly unfastened her legs and raised your head from where you had been lapping at her, your full mouth glistening with her arousal. sevika sat up fully, legs shifting beneath the butter-yellow comforter, and stared down at you.
you looked back at her with wide eyes like she’d caught you sinning. you. you with your puppy eyes and open mouth. you, with your sweetness, with your eagerness when it came to her. you like a doe on the open road.
"no," you told her. "i couldn’t accept the idea that you hated me."
she sighed and cupped your cheek, thumbing across the plush skin.
"when you do or say something that displeases me, that doesn’t mean i hate you."
"if you’re displeased," you said, your voice thick across the last word, "then it feels the same to me."
with a huff of irritation, she yanked you up and into her lap, guiding you into a bruising kiss.
it wasn’t like the last time. this wasn’t desperation or fear—it was need. pure, unrelenting need. her hands gripped your waist, pulling you flush against her, and you gasped into her mouth, your fingers tangling in her hair.
she shifted you easily, rolling over so that you fell beneath her. her eyes roamed over you, dark and hungry, and for a moment, you forgot how to breathe.
“you drive me insane,” she murmured, her voice rough as her hand trailed down your side.
“good,” you whispered, pulling her back to you.
soon, kissing wasn’t enough. you had hungered for her for so long, and she for you.
wetly, your lips broke apart, and she slid back to survey you. the soft, muted light of the room caught on the intricate lace of your undergarments. the set was exquisite; the bra cupped you perfectly. you saw sevika's jaw tighten, her hands flexing at her sides as though restraining herself from reaching for you.
“you look…” her voice faltered, her control waning. “fuck, princess.”
heat spread across your body, and you felt the lace press a little tighter against your skin as your chest rose and fell with shallow breaths.
sevika leaned in, her eyes never leaving yours. her hand rose, hesitant at first, before her fingertips brushed the embroidered lace at your shoulder. she traced the pattern down your arm, her touch light but burning, before resting her palm at your waist.
“you wore this for me?” she murmured, her voice low and dark, as her thumb swept over the sheer fabric, catching on a pebbled nipple.
“who else?” you answered, a tremor in your voice as her hand slipped to the small of your back, pulling you up into a soft arch.
she hummed in satisfaction and gently pulled your bra down so that it dipped beneath your tits as they spilled further into view. steadying you with a hand on your stomach, sevika leaned down and coaxed a hard bud into her mouth.
the wet heat of her mouth was akin to a strike of lightning. you moaned as she increased the pressure of her teeth, suckling eagerly at your chest as you pushed desperately into her touch. by instinct, your legs rose to cross behind her hips, forcing her to settle on top of you.
she let go of your nipple with a wet pop and switched to the other, beginning to work her way down your body with a pleased exhale. your panties didn’t even put up a worthy fight. they just slid right down, the fabric bunching around your thighs. the scrap of fabric had barely covered your cunt anyway, your thatch of hair poking through as if to tease her.
she watched your lips gleam and glisten, your pussy drooling with arousal and as deliciously plump as the rest of you. sevika pressed her mouth against it, practically a dog in heat, and relished the way you shivered up against her.
“vika,” you moaned and turned your face to the side in the way you did when you were overcome with embarrassment.
“baby,” she murmured, shifting so that she could force you to look at her. “baby, is this all for me?”
you whined, and sevika smirked, dipping her head down to lick a flat stripe up your dripping cunt.
“vika, fuck,” you cried, and she hummed, hooking a hand around one of your legs to pull it up so that you were further exposed. your clit was swollen and calling out for her.
pulling back, she used her free hand to part your lips so that she could watch the way you clenched around nothing. slick ran steadily down to the crack of your ass, a syrupy stream of desire. carefully, she stroked a metallic finger through your heat, holding you down as she began to rub your clit in tight circles.
“look at that pussy,” she murmured. “can’t believe it’s all mine, princess. thank you. thank you, baby.”
sevika couldn’t help herself and lifted her hand, bringing it down to slap against your cunt. you squealed, and she pressed a kiss to your thigh, delighting in your loss of composure. she considered you beneath her, your body slick and shining with sweat as you writhed. she rained two more strikes across your pussy in quick succession, dropping her head down and sliding her fingers in to let your buck into her open mouth and lolling tongue.
“taste so fucking good, princess,” she purred into you. “that’s it. ride my face, sweet girl. take what you want from me. take what you need.”
you gripped the bed, angling her hips so that you could drag her deeper into the cavern of your cunt. mewling, you trapped her between the link of your legs as you snapped upward and arched, cumming with a high sob.
“oh my god, vika.”
“just me,” she teased.
sevika waited for a couple of seconds before pushing up and rearranging you, sliding your back against her chest. carefully, she pushed your legs back apart and tucked three fingers up into your cunt, building a rhythm until she was thrusting hard enough that the overstimulation made you scream. you curled over yourself, your nails raking down her muscled thighs.
she milked you, patient and unrelenting, until you began to bounce on your own. you rode her hand. hard. slowly, your gummy walls tightened around her, whimpering through the flashes of pain and pleasure before you came again with a silent wail. sevika held you as you shook apart, whispering a stream of steady praises into your ear.
“good girl,” she cooed. “look at how good you are, princess. you needed this, huh? you’ve been begging for it, so desperate to cream all over me. such a good fucking girl.”
you slumped down, whimpering weakly as she pulled away from you. you felt her get up, slipping off the bed and walking somewhere into the darkness of the room. soon, she returned but not alone. you began to come back to yourself, and in doing so, you were able to focus on what she held in your hands.
“vika, that won’t fit.”
in her hand was a navy harness and matching dildo, girthy and ribbed. you tilted your head as she closed in, your hands finding her waist as if by instinct.
“sevika,” you whispered, your voice breaking as her lips trailed down your jaw, her teeth grazing your throat.
“quiet, baby,” she muttered against your skin, and you sighed softly, the sound catching in your throat as her hands slid lower, gripping your hips with a possessiveness that made you shiver. "you know you can take it."
you let out a pathetic, wet cry as she prodded at your puffy cunt, and her face softened. she pulled you closer, peppering your face with soft kisses. there was only her—her heat, her weight, her breath against your skin.
again she watched you, gripping you firmly from beneath your thighs as she nestled the tip of the dildo at the entrance of your pussy.
“princess,” she called to you, and you blinked blearily, clutching at her. “consider this forgiveness.”
it was all you ever wanted.

LOVE IN THE SPOTLIGHT
summary Y/N Sánchez, daughter of Roselyn Sánchez, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel with her fiancé, Drew Starkey. While Y/N spoke confidently about her career, Drew couldn’t hide his admiration, often losing focus as he gazed at her. His lovestruck demeanor contrasted with Y/N’s composure, creating a sweet and memorable moment that left fans swooning over their undeniable chemistry.

The bright lights of the studio shone down on me as I adjusted the hem of my flowing emerald-green dress. It hugged my figure perfectly, a piece from a designer who had insisted I wear it to highlight my poise and grace. But I wasn’t thinking about the dress or the cameras pointed at me. I was thinking about Drew Starkey, my fiancé, sitting just a few feet away. His piercing blue eyes followed my every movement, a soft smile playing at his lips.
Being the daughter of the legendary actress Roselyn Sánchez, I was a rising star in my own right. My breakout role in a critically acclaimed drama had catapulted me to the spotlight, and now I was the name on every producer’s lips. Despite my rapid ascent, I remained grounded, thanks in no small part to Drew, whose quiet confidence and unwavering support made him my anchor.
“We’re ready for you,” a producer’s voice called.
I gave Drew a quick glance. He gave me a reassuring nod, though his gaze lingered a bit too long. My beauty had always captivated him, but tonight, under the soft glow of studio lights, I felt otherworldly.
The interview set was elegant, with plush chairs and a backdrop of shimmering gold curtains. I took my seat beside Drew, the host across from us. The audience clapped enthusiastically, the excitement palpable.
“Good evening, everyone!” Jimmy began, flashing a practiced smile. “Tonight, we have two incredible guests: the stunning Y/N Sánchez and her fiancé, the talented Drew Starkey. Let’s give them a warm welcome!”
The applause swelled, and my cheeks flushed. I glanced at Drew, who was already looking at me, his expression soft and unguarded. He seemed utterly unaware of the cameras or the audience—his world had narrowed to just me.
“Y/N, your performance in Eclipsed Dreams has been called transformative. How does it feel to step out of your mother’s shadow and establish your own legacy?” Jimmy asked.
My smile widened. “It’s surreal. Growing up, I always admired my mother’s work, but she encouraged me to find my own path. It’s been a challenging journey, but I’m grateful for the opportunities and for the people who believe in me.”
Jimmy turned to Drew. “And Drew, you’ve been quite the supportive partner. What’s it like watching Y/N rise to stardom?”
Drew chuckled, running a hand through his hair. “Honestly, it’s mesmerizing. She’s incredibly talented, hardworking, and… well, look at her.” He gestured toward me, his voice tinged with awe. “She’s breathtaking.”
The audience swooned, and my face turned a deeper shade of pink. “You’re too much,” I murmured, though the sparkle in my eyes revealed my delight.
“Drew, you’ve built an impressive career yourself,” Jimmy continued. “What’s the key to balancing your own busy schedule with supporting Y/N?”
“Communication and respect,” Drew said. “We both have demanding careers, but we make time for each other. It helps that we genuinely enjoy spending time together—she’s my favorite person.”
“That’s so sweet,” Jimmy said, turning back to me. “Y/N, do you find inspiration in Drew’s work?”
I nodded enthusiastically. “Absolutely. Drew is so dedicated to his craft. Watching him immerse himself in his roles motivates me to give my all in my own performances. We’re constantly learning from each other.”
“It sounds like you have a wonderful partnership,” Jimmy said. “One last question: What’s next for both of you?”
I exchanged a glance with Drew before answering. “I’m working on a new project that’s still under wraps, but I’m really excited about it. It’s something completely different from anything I’ve done before.”
“And I’ve got a couple of films lined up,” Drew added. “But we’re also making sure to carve out some time for ourselves. Life is about balance, after all.”
The audience applauded as Jimmy wrapped up the interview. “Y/N and Drew, thank you so much for joining us tonight. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you both.”
When the cameras stopped rolling, we lingered on the set, chatting with the host and producers. Drew’s hand never left mine, a quiet but constant reassurance.
“You were incredible,” Drew whispered as we walked toward our car. “I couldn’t take my eyes off you.”
“You’re biased,” I teased.
“Maybe,” he admitted, pulling me close. “But it’s the truth.”
We paused under the soft glow of the parking lot lights, the city’s hum around us. Drew cupped my face, his thumb brushing my cheek. “I’m so proud of you, Y/N. You’re a star, and not just on screen.”
Tears pricked my eyes as I leaned into his touch. “I couldn’t do any of this without you.”
Our lips met in a tender kiss, sealing a moment that felt timeless.
The interview aired the following evening, and social media exploded with praise. Fans gushed over my grace and Drew’s evident adoration. A clip of Drew’s comment about my beauty went viral, earning us the nickname “Hollywood’s Sweethearts.”
As we sat together in our cozy living room, scrolling through the flood of messages, Drew wrapped an arm around me. “Looks like people are just as mesmerized by you as I am.”
“By us,” I corrected, resting my head on his shoulder. “We’re a team, Drew.”
He kissed the top of my head. “The best team.”
And as the night stretched on, filled with laughter and love, I knew that no matter how bright my star shone, it would always shine brightest with Drew by my side.

under the skin meta: The Monologue™ (part 1)
[spoilers for s2 in general and ep 20 in specific—which, trust me, you really don't want to watch out of order. it's worth waiting for this one.]
if you’ve seen The Monologue, you understand. this is why tan jianci fans are somewhere on a spectrum from chronically bitter to unendingly distraught about never not yet getting to see him play gu yun in sha po lang/winner is king. if uts were a north american prestige drama, tjc would have just handily won an emmy. as it is he’ll probably just be in a bunch of romcoms and do more goofy stuff on hi6, and that’s fine too. i guess we’ll always have “wet the bed.”
where was i oh right The Monologue. this will be long but it’s possibly the most glorious moment in this entire drama so here we go.
to build up to it, tho, we need backstory: namely, season two's gradual unraveling of shen yi. we know he can’t sleep well and has ghastly nightmares about a little girl he didn’t save, mostly because he didn’t consciously know she was in any danger. in her red dress, like the little girl in schindler’s list, she stands out, tragic amidst the desaturation, and shen yi makes a variety of horrified faces about having failed her. (horrified faces seem to be his main ones this season, which is partly what makes The Monologue so exciting.)
anyway shen yi has already been pretty thoroughly harrowed by this particular case as it is, having been the one to figure out (of course) the serial murderer’s ritualistic pattern and motive. shen yi turns his most Horrified Face to du cheng to warn him that the next victim's in danger, and they have this exchange, which will be important later.
(what du cheng says is 别担心, which also gets translated as "rest assured"—like, don't let your heart be uneasy. i got this.)
so du cheng takes off to save the next victim, and shen yi goes back to his office to do…what does he think he’s going to do? some paperwork, a little light filing, maybe sharpen some pencils? instead he predictably goes into a glass-shattering fugue state, and imagines the little girl. this begins the monologue scene, even though it all takes place in shen yi’s head. pls indulge me by watching it again, bc i assume you’ve already seen it anyway, and my god it’s such a gorgeous piece of face journey that ALSO sets up what’s to follow.
in some ways this compressed little piece is even better than what comes after. the way he FLIES to her and FALLS to his knees, just rushes up to her stammering and devastated and PROMISING he'll save her this time. honestly it destroyed me, i watched it like 5 times in a row before i could even move on. the unheld-back generosity of this brief performance, the way he’s completely focused on her and then just FALLS APART, it snapped my heart like a carrot stick.
me, a fangirl: SHEN YI SHEN YI NO BB NO PLS SOMEONE HELP HIM me, film nerd: wow fascinating never seen an actor's lips shake before
so now he understands what he needs to do. what he MUST do. having had this revelation, shen yi shows up at the killer’s door, creepy-smiling at him and barging inside. and then he delivers The Monologue, ten solid nearly-uncut minutes of sheer batshit insanity.
shen yi rants. he raves. he paces and pivots and gestures, he thinks aloud, he surmises and expostulates and revises and reverses and exclaims and delivers each conclusion with rabid glee. he scowls and shouts and is sinister and grins and is just one thousand fucking percent unhinged.
we have never, ever seen shen yi like this before, and thank god, because he would scare people on the regular, and he’s scary enough as it is. why do you think he wears all those baggy pastels and smiles so sweetly. why do you think he tries to pass as an unassuming twink, it’s because if people knew what was really going on inside his head half the time, they’d be screaming crying passing out. (tho the beauty of shen yi is: he also really is just an unassuming twink.)
anyway there i was, like a bonehead, stupidly trying to screenrecord this scene before i realized it would be like fifty gig of fire emoji, and then my hands fell limply at my sides, bc it dawned on me what was actually happening. sort of like that moment in “free churro” when you realize bojack horseman really is going to keep giving this heartbreaking eulogy for the length of the entire episode.
because The Monologue is virtuoso. it's tour de force. this is the kind of thing they play at the oscars during your "in memoriam" clip reel. this is what undergrads copy for their audition pieces. this is some heath ledger shit. it's jack nicholson in the shining, al pacino in scarface. this is about one inch away from brando.
as a result of all this, shen yi has the serial killer (whose name is ge yutian by the way) eating out of his goddamn hand within like half a minute, absolutely spellbound—which is the entire point. if shen yi doesn’t convince him, all of this glorious sorcery is for nothing.
(the guy who plays ge yutian is good too, a perfect scene partner for this. he picks up every cue and lets tjc have all the room he needs.)
just a few more notes on the performance, both tjc's and shen yi's:
1. where it really goes off the rails is when shen yi shrieks, DAMN POLICE! and ge yutian JUMPS in alarm. this not only made me laugh (him being so bonkers that he actually frightens a serial murderer!) but is also the moment when The Monologue stops being "aw haha such a fun thing for an actor to get to do" and “…jesus christ what the fuck am i watching." look how i couldn't even get a non-potato screencap. it's from this point on that shen yi is possessed.
2. because he has to show that he identifies with ge yutian, that the killer can and should trust him because they think alike. but that’s just the old “FBI profiler eventually becomes his prey” cliché, so there’s more to it. he also has to convince ge yutian that his ideas, shen yi's, are ge yutian's ideas, from the inside out—and therefore he's the right candidate for the sheng role. and finally, that it's precisely his ability to act, to be a strong performer, that makes him the right choice. that it’s shen yi who’s most suitable, thanks to his convincing mimesis of ge yutian’s highly suspect “thought process."
3. to really pull this off, even as shen yi builds him up (cf. ge yutian clapping enthusiastically, enthralled by this flattering vision), he also has to tear him down. so he plays two roles at once: ge yutian and an unknown theatre critic—who’s also shen yi, because he’s still the righteous officer of the People’s Police, here to inform ge yutian that his vision is sick and twisted, and not anything his gentle-hearted lover would have wanted, not her way of being in the world.
4. finally i would argue that shen yi's admittedly shaky s2 state here suddenly seems a lot more bolted-on. a few viewers have worriedly described The Monologue almost as some kind of psychotic break but honestly i read it as so very controlled and so very deliberate. while he’s desperate (must save victim this time. must not fuck it up again.) he’s not deranged. he absolutely knows what he’s doing.
i'm sorry to say part 2 will follow. but to conclude for now:
• actors are witches. • 16:9 can no longer contain tjc’s talent this man needs 1.85:1 • you hardly ever get to see someone just NAIL IT TO THE WALL like this, what a time to be alive • (and these were long takes too. there wasn't that much cutting. that was all him.) • pls watch under the skin for some unexpectedly fine acting as well as ofc crime drama, ensemble comedy, weird art historical facts, and captain du cheng (jin shijia), who alternates between being a giant goofball and an aloof occasionally scary badass. also they’re in love.

Overall chapter summary: two memories that resurfaces and the odd, concerning actions and behaviors from two of your in-laws… this night only gets stranger and stranger.
===
The fluorescent lights flicker above you, a sign that they needed to be changed. But it doesn't bother you as you look down at your phone, admiring the art of the new manhwa your friend recommended you. It was all you could do really, enduring the cold air filling the room.
The T.V in the background also doesn’t catch your attention despite playing your favorite show. Usually, you would abandon your phone in favor of watching the images that play on the screen, the volume just loud enough for you to hear. But the story of this novel-turned webtoon is more captivating, especially with the beautiful blond and cunning female lead scheming ways to free the silver haired male lead.
Must be nice, to be rescued.
“It’s good, isn’t it?” your friend’s voice draws your attention, grinning as they sit on the chair they pulled up to your bed. “But remember, the content is dark.” they warn for the nth time. Like that would bother you.
“Oh please, I’m not that sensitive,” you refute while rolling your eyes. “Besides, if I was, you wouldn’t have recommended it to me. We both know that.” A playful pout forms on your face as they ruffle your hair.
“Yeah,” they say, “but sometimes people change their minds, you know?”
“Like you?”
“Hey! You can barely handle gore so good luck with it.”
“Gore,” you snort. “Doesn’t bother me as much. But since I love you, I guess I’ll listen.”
They hum, retreating their hand from your hair. “You should also read the novel once you’re done with the current episodes. It adds more context and includes the stuff the webtoon left out.” Yawning, they look at the clock on the way. A mumbled complaint rumbles in their chest. “Sorry, but I have work in the morning.” They linger on the uncomfortable bed before getting up to stretch.
“Alright.” You hope they can’t hear the disappointment in your voice or the way your eyes become dull. “Make sure to text me once you get home, okay?”
They reply with a thumbs up.
It doesn’t take them long to gather their things and walk to the door, opening it. However, they don’t leave the room before looking at you. “I’ll bring your favorite snack tomorrow. As a gift.” You pretend that their grin is teasing.
“Good. I would kick you out otherwise.”
With a wave of their hand they disappear into the hallway, the door closing behind them. The room feels empty. Adjusting yourself to get comfortable, you lay on your side, leaving the T.V on.
The noise lulls you to sleep despite the gnawing loneliness pulling at your strings. Pulling the cover over your head, you close your eyes.
- - -
The dream you had the day before your engagement announcement was what made you realize you were stuck in a fictional series.
Everything was normal when you woke up a month before it. No drama, no unfortunate accidents. The cup of tea you were enjoying that day was the sweetest you ever had, rare tea leaves that were a pain in the ass to find. But your father searched long and hard, wanting to give them to you as a happy little sweet gift. It only made sense, since it was your birthday and all.
Well, you wish it just that; a birthday gift. Instead, it was an apology gift, him refusing to look you in the eye. At the time you had just assumed he was embarrassed, not that he was being eaten away by guilt that threatened to swallow his entire being whole. The sad part was that he didn't tell you the plans for your future until after you sat down for teatime.
“...How’s the tea?” his voice had trembled but you didn’t notice it. You should have, especially with how small his voice had become, nearly a whisper. You were too caught in your jolly mood.
“Oh, it’s sweet - like honey!” placing your cup down you raise up from your seat to hug your father who sat across from you. He became stiff before returning it, his embrace tighter than usual. You thought it was out of adoration a father would hold for his daughter. Not of the father who was signing her death papers.
“I’m glad.” when you stepped back he followed, bringing himself up to his feet. A heavy sigh that came from his chest before he finally looked into your eyes. You mistook the look of regret and horror in his for the uneasiness of your reaction towards the news. Still, he allowed himself to grab you by the shoulders.
You misplaced the trembling for excitement instead of fear.
“(Name), my daughter…” your father closed his mouth and shut his eyes tight. His grip on your shoulders tightens. Now you realize he did that so you wouldn’t run out. “I have some important news for you.”
“Oh?” you cock your head, somewhat excited and somewhat worried. You wait for him to finish.
“I…” opening his eyes he’s unable to meet your gaze. “I…found…a fiance for you. He’s from an extremely well-off family.” he finishes but it sounds incomplete. You should have questioned him more.
“A fiance?” you asked, blinking while your mind processes the information. “Did you find him recently?” truthfully, you didn’t like the news, but you knew it would happen eventually. But you can’t deny the slight bitterness you felt, the news slightly dampening your mood on your birthday.
You got over it pretty quickly. Too quickly.
“Well, yes? Kind of. His father would talk to me sometimes, insisting that the marriage would benefit us both." He left out the part where it only meant for your father-in-law and possibly yours, too. Not for the soon-to-be bride and groom.
“I see.”
Your father looks at you in shock, asking “aren’t you upset?”
You shrug your shoulders, hiding the annoyance. “Well,” your hands grab his wrists, squeezing them to comfort him - despite how it was your future married life and not his. “I knew it was going to happen eventually. It wasn’t a matter of ‘if’ but ‘when.’
He shakes his head, releasing a low and forced chuckle. At the time you just assumed it was from astonishment and not self-hatred. “You’re too forgiving,” he lets go of your shoulder and pulls his arms back. “But rest assured that the wedding and engagement party will be grand.”
He never mentioned how your married life would be. That you would be in good hands. That your husband will take care of you and how you’ll grow fond of him as time passes. Or how your in-laws would be lovely. He couldn’t force himself to lie to you.
Your father couldn’t tell you how the marriage would chain you to your husband’s family.
“Father, I don’t really care about that.” you laugh, softly hitting his shoulder. His expression didn’t become playful as usual. Instead it was grave and your heart painfully rattled at the sight.
“I know you don’t - but they might.. Just endure it, okay? I promise the party and ceremony will be decent, at least.”
You never thought to ask what he meant by that. Decent? Right after he called them grand?
“I’ll trust you, then.”
Little did you know that your trust would crumble away the moment you laid eyes on Dion Argece, his face stoic and eyes glued to something past you.
-----
….why were you remembering that now? While Jeremy is running his mouth about his brother and Roxana wiping your mouth with a rag. Hana had given her the rag once she returned, stepping to the side at her orders.
Roxana offers to bring you to her room to freshen up, and your heart nearly leaps out of your chest with bliss. “It’s fine, lady Roxana,” you reject the offer, knowing that you’ll be caught in her web. Seems she’s already thinking of ways to use you. That or she genuinely felt bad.
You couldn't tell. Her facade was always perfect.
“I insist,” she smiles sweetly but it doesn’t reach her eyes. Does anyone else ever notice this? Aside from Dion?
“Just accept it already.” Jeremy cuts in, stretching his arms above his head. Odd. The boy was nearly codependent on his sister, not willing to share her attention. Yet he’s sharing it - her - with you. “Besides, it’ll give you more time to avoid that asshole.”
His words should have sounded playful, teasing, but they were filled with pure venom instead. Dion’s number two hater truly worked hard for that spot.
“I’m flattered that you’re considerate of me,” your hand raises to pat his hand only for you to swiftly bring it back down. What were you doing!? He wasn’t your brother. Nor a friend. Just someone who happened to be related to your husband.
That and a little murderous punk.
Though, you couldn’t miss the disappointment in those blue eyes. Why was he acting like this?
Jeremy stays quiet for a bit, lost in thought. Your legs start to become weak the longer he doesn’t say anything - was he going to mock you? Lash out? Turn to Roxana and say that you’re not worth anything after all?
“You deserve better than him. That’s all.” your mind blanks. To say that so bluntly and in the open…
You just notice that Roxana stayed quiet in the background. Observing. Weighing the options.
“I…” do you agree with him? You don’t want to be with him - that much was obvious. But you’re not sure if you deserved a happy ending. Maybe a slightly better one than this, though.
You stare at him like a deer in headlights. What answer would be the best one? Agree with him only to find out it was a test? Reject his view and say that he’s the one who deserves better? Wait, why was he so involved with this in the first place.
And why did he look at you so sincerely?
You’ll get the answer for that later, or so you tell yourself. Frankly, you’re scared to find out. But curiosity always kills the cat.
“...it was a marriage arranged by our parents. If they saw that we were the best for each other, then we’ll listen. That’s how it is.” indirectly saying you agree somewhat could be a bad idea. But you also don’t want him to think that Dion was your ideal husband.
“‘Best for each other,’ huh? Well sometimes they’re - “ Roxana cuts him off.
“Jeremy,” she says, “don’t you need to get ready for practice?” She lovingly pats his head. The boy beams at her before becoming petulant - not wanting to leave his sister’s side but was obligated to.
“Right, right… it’s nothing more than free labor though.” he complains while starting to leave. If he lingered for even a bit he wouldn’t be able to drag his feet to his destination. “I’ll see you later?”
“Tomorrow,” Roxana respondes. “I have something to do.” Jeremy reminds you of a puppy with the dejected look in his eyes and small frown. But with the promise of staying with him tomorrow, he brightly grins - you could almost forget his brutal personality.
“Well then, I’ll be off.” he groans at the thought of the bothersome chore.
But before leaving, he leaves you with ‘adivce’ :
“You should escape before this place digs its claws into you. Dion included.” You’re left speechless as his figure gets smaller and smaller, watching his back as he leaves. Why were you given advice anyway? First, by Dion, now Jeremy - was this a test?
Then, you realized that it’s only you and Roxana - without your noticing, Hana had left. Ordered by Roxana, perhaps?
What was she going to add to this strange night?
“Jeremy means well.” She doesn’t acknowledge what he said.
“Yes. Of course.” You refrain from asking her why. “It’s… a bit cute.” for now you silently add, turning your head to look at your sister-in-law.
“Mhm, he is, isn’t he?” The blond toys with a strand of her hair, dainty fingers twirling it. “Although, I must admit that he still has a lot of growing up to do.” Yes, yes he does.
“I think it’s the same for everyone at that age; even for me.” she titters with you. It was faked on both ends. Yet it was mutually accepted.
“My offer still stands.”
“Oh, but I’m fine - I'm all cleaned up.” you lie. But her offer puzzles you - what would she gain from it? And while you would love to avoid your husband for a few extra minutes, you didn’t want to owe Roxana anything. Being in her debt was the same as signing a lifetime contract.
You held no emotional importance to her. It’s only reasonable to think that she’s doing this for Jeremy’s sake. And you really, really need to find out why these characters - people were acting so weird.
“Besides, I’m sure that your brother is waiting for me.”
Her pointer finger taps against her chin in thought. Her ruby eyes look towards the side and you can’t read her expression. Beads of sweat threaten to slip down your face. You hope she doesn’t notice.
“After some thought, I realized something.” she brings up once she looks at you again. You tilt your head, confused.
“You never once referred to Dion as your husband.”

Capricornus Talon Abraxas The Sun Is In Capricorn & It’s The Most Beautiful Time Of The Year Capricorn season is the most beautiful time of the year because it’s all about togetherness. The weather outside is frightful but the vibe with friends and family is so delightful, with seasonal cheer and excitement starting on 21st December and running to 19th January.
The astrological stereotype is that Capricorns are serious and rarely show emotion. However, if you've spent one-on-one time with the sea goat, you know that they radiate goodness and loyalty, and have a sharp sense of humour. Therefore the month of Capricorn is a time in which we can connect with others on a deep level and work through issues (if they exist) to cultivate long-lasting and meaningful relationships.
Capricorn is an initiator of a season: Winter starts with Capricorn. So the sea goat is a go-getter. That's why we always think of Capricorn as the CEO. They are the zodiac sign that wants to attain and achieve success, but they can also be leaders who are aware of their employees’ and coworkers’ needs. At times they can be prickly, but that is only once they are poked; Caps are sensitive, after all. So prepare for your career to take flight and to reach your professional goals.
The onset of Capricorn season brings the winter solstice (in the northern hemisphere). The winter solstice is the shortest day of the year and marks the beginning of yule. This is a time in which we honour the sun, as its presence is lacking, by lighting candles and a fire in the home to keep warm. Honour the past, present and future.
What sets 2024 to 2025’s Capricorn season apart from others is the three retrograde planets (Mars, Jupiter and Uranus) causing chaos in the cosmos. Mercury will be in its post-retrograde cycle (aka the retroshade) until 2nd January 2025. As a result, we might want to stay in or opt to have a low-key New Year’s Eve due to exhaustion and indecisiveness. Don't pressure yourself to show up if you're not feeling the vibe. Yes, there will be miscommunications and travel delays but we can sort them out if we’re mindful of how we go about matters.
The last Jupiter and Saturn square in Gemini and Pisces occurs on 24th December. The first aspect was 19th August. There could be drama at the dinner table with family when discussing politics. Being heard and not backing down from your beliefs is essential. Make sure you're not being too self-righteous and are expressing yourself in a way that articulates your thoughts clearly.
Also, the Nodes of Destiny are shifting on 11th January to the Pisces North Node and Virgo South Node and will remain there for a year and a half. The nodal change brings an upswing in spiritual and artistic endeavours, compassion and intuition — all positive things we can look forward to. Growth is possible.

Bullet Holes in a Guitar

Chapter 1: Boxed In
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
The man grunts as your foot shoves him further on the ground. His lackeys lay bruised and blue behind you, their clothes torn, soaked in rain, and smudged with dirt. Their unmoving bodies spilled crimson into the drains, the long hunt finally coming to an end. They needn't lose their lives. Just their beloved boss had to be put down, but you give credit to their loyalty.
"You bitch!" The man spits at your boot, his own blood dripping down his mouth before it mixes with the rain water. His eyes are crazed and filled with anger, hair that was previously slicked back now lay sticking to the sides of his face, his blunt now smushed under your foot. Your boss will be thrilled to hear that one of the many thorns on his side has been eliminated. You didn't care that much about that part of the mission. Just getting paid to take down corporate assholes like him were good enough.
You look down on him with an icy glare reserved for pathetic men like him. Mask snug around your face, hood hiding your eyes in its shadow, the neon lights of the street reflected on the bloodied bodies that surrounded the two of you. Thankfully, no one was out tonight to see this grueling sight. Windows and doors were shut closed, the stands empty, shops barren. The fog danced and slithered just a few inches off the ground, making the scene more dramatic.
Your mind shifts to the irony of it all, the oddly beautiful view with its inspiring neon colors were now stained with a crime scene. How many more times would you have to do this until you could get away from all of it? Every moment after your eyes are shut closed, the same dream would haunt you, the same memories. Blood forever stained your hands, unmoving and stubborn, gripping to your skin like it was its very color. Every object in your grasp turned a weapon, every assignment given to you is another person dead.
The wheezing of your current assignment brought you back to the wet streets covered in red. The man was close to his last breath. No help would be fast enough to aid him. Maybe it was fitting for a pig like him to suffer until his last cough anyway. He has done immeasurable crime. Human trafficking, dealing drugs, scams, and how many mistresses did this guy have again?
Before you could get lost in your thoughts further, a familiar beeping noise rang, one that alerted you to any further information. You tapped on the device next to the shell of your ear.
"How's my favorite assassin doing?" The voice spoke, an annoying screech of a voice that always brought some unexplainable anger to you. Never mind information when your 'guy in the chair' is some dude who you only know by voice and whatever drama he tells you about his coworkers.
"Gent. Hq talked to you about this. This is unprofessional." You replied, voice colder than usual, so no one would recognize your actual pitch.
"You and I both know professionalism can kiss my ass-- Listen! We got a new assignment for you!" Gent cheered. You could hear him twirl in his wheeled office chair.
"You're not allowed to call me that." You huffed, shaking your head. A short silence follows between the two of you, and you wondered if the line had somehow cut off. When you decide to open your mouth to say something, it closed promptly at the annoying start of Gent's voice.
"So, uhh.. you done with your assignment?" He completely ignores your previous statement. Your brows furrow before giving the bloodied man before you one last good kick to the nose, the crack of his bone echoing.
"Yeah." You answered truthfully as you walked away from all the scattered bodies. As an assassin, it wasn't your job to be clean up crew too. Either someone will come in and clean it up, or police will find them. Whoever comes first wouldn't know who left all that blood spilled on the street, no trace of anyone there.
"Alright! I'll pull up your next file. This one's- uh, unique!" Gent cleared his throat.
"Meaning?" Your voice going back to normal as you walked the hushed streets.
"Meaning you're not gonna particularly, specifically, exactly, generally..." He went on and on.
"Gent."
"Okay, you're not gonna like this one!" He finally admitted.
"And why is that?" You swerved into an alleyway swiftly after sighting a car light from a mile away, the fog fortunately covering you.
"You need to somehow go undercover in York."
"New York? That's not so far away...what's the deal?"
"No.. York as in England, York. As in England, Britain."
"..."
"Y/n?"
"Yeah, I'm here. But, England?" You whispered, confusion and frustration mixing in your tone.
"I know, I know.." Gent hushed you.
"But listen, if you complete this.. you'll be set." He let out a small chuckle.
Those few words almost lifted the weight off your chest. It almost seemed like the world was dangling a piece of meat in front of you as if you've been starved for days. It's offer tempting and successfully persuading. This could be it. No more blood, no more close calls, no constant instruction and destruction. You'd be free to live as you please. Wear clothes that don't restrict you, talk how you want, live how you want.
"I'm gonna guess you'll take the job?" Gent laid back in his seat with a smug smirk as he files his nails.
"When do I start?"
"In a week or two. We need you to lay low incase the press find out about your most recent...errand." He shrugged.
"But until then, get in the car." He twirled in his black office chair again. You turn your head and find a shiny black car pulling up in front of the alleyway, the same one you spotted.
"Talk to you next time, Y/n!" He sang. You let out a sigh, from the long day of hunting down that gang in the casino to just chatting with Gent can take the caffeine induced energy out of you. Amidst your thoughts, you slipped into the car, no words spoken to the assigned driver. Nor did you make a sound.
You did notice he seemed spooked at your sudden appearance, the hair on the back of his neck prickling up with his eyes widening for a split second before he started the engine.
...
"Word on the street says you're moving abroad!" Your neighbor stopped you in your tracks as you were about to reach your door. The cursed entrance stands only a few feet away, you wonder if you could just pretend you didn't hear her and quickly go in.
Dropping your shoulders with a twitch of an eye, "Uh..yeah." You sighed in defeat, slowly turning yourself to face your innocent neighbor. Who in reality, has been nothing but nosy to you. Which really doesn't help you as an assasin, you already have countless detectives all around the country trying to trace you based on blurry security camera pictures.
"Wow! I've always wanted to go to the big ol' tea country!" Her eyes sparkled as she locked her hands together and dreamed of Britain.
"I didn't tell you-" You scratch the back of your neck, trying to find place to speak before she inevitably cuts you off.
"Anyway.." She looked to the side, avoiding eye contact as she does.
"So you already got a job or a place to stay?" She fiddled a strand of her red hair as she chews the gum in her mouth with a smack of her lips. She always asked you curious questions. It started out as small talk, you put in what you could at first so she didn't grow suspicious, but as time went on, her questions seemed more like riddles about your personal life.
"Heading out for the day?"
"You have any pets?"
"You always look so tired.. what's up with that?"
"Do you have a girlfriend or a boyfriend?...or a friend.?"
There weren't many risks in answering her inquiries. You tried to live your life as boring as possible so people don't show interest, answering questions with the most plain answers you could think of. But somehow, Holly has stayed ever so curious.
"Uhm..no. I guess not." You tell the truth, keep it short and simple but left out the part that Gent was already looking for apartments you could stay at.
"Ah, that's a shame." Holly shrugged. You looked at her with a blank stare, knowing and waiting for when she tells you an idea she conjured up, like she planned the conversation and she's pulling strings on whatever happens next.
"Oh I just remembered!" She clapped, smile gleaming up at you.
"My brother in law is in England. He's planning on selling his loft and moving back here! Didn't this line up perfectly?"
Ah, there it is.
"Wow, that's crazy." You attempt a typical response.
"Wait, brother in law? I didn't know you were married."
"Didn't you know? I own half of this building, I bagged the landlord.!" She whispers that last part to you, elbowing you discreetly as if you guys weren't the only two in the stairwell.
Suddenly everything clicked, from the way she knew what your name was immediately after you moved in to when your rent was due.
"Ah." You say dumbfounded.
"I'll see you around, gotta help with dinner. Email me if you're interested in that loft!" Before you knew it, she was already halfway down the stairs, waving theatrically.
You sighed, turning around to enter your humble abode that's been decorated for you. The apartment doesn't feel like home. But, to be fair, you were barely in there.
The walls of pictures are all edited, the framed certificates on the wall are fake, and even the two trophies "you got from high school" were custom-made to fit the space on your bookshelf. Despite the warm ambiance Gent and his team pushed into the space, so it looked like you weren't one of their best assassins. The air always seemed cold. Loneliness struck you every night or early morning, and you entered through the door. No one greeted you, no familiar smell danced through the air, no embrace warmed you up from the cold feeling of taking someone's life.
You were by yourself. Like you've always been.
...
"Hobie!" Gwen shook him harshly by his arm, ignoring the few spikes that poked her from his jacket. Said man wakes up with a snort, looking around the room half awake and his guitar sliding off his lap as he sits up from his bean bag made of various patches.
"Wha' happened.." He blinks away the sleep, slapping himself awake. One side of his hair has perfectly stood up instead of its usual out turned position, a product of him sleeping on his left side. He looked like the epitome of being disoriented.
"I've been trying to wake you up for like half an hour!" The blonde paces around the room, arms flung in the air in disbelief. Her sneakers slide on the hardwood floors, Hobie's eyes regaining focus by watching her shoes glide past him.
Shaking his head, "Alright, alright... why're you doin that?" He grabs his beloved guitar, placing it to the side.
"That stylist Nix hired a month ago quit! You guys need one before that show at the bar next week, duh!" She snatches her cardigan off the growing pile of clothes on the floor, her eyes lighting up when she spotted it.
"Tha's it? Gwendy, we can style ourselves." He waves her off, flopping back into his place on the bean bag. "Right, only wake me up if someone's dyin next time." He begins to doze off again, crossing one leg over the other and putting his hands behind his head before Gwen's cardigan hits him straight on the face, his spider senses failing him miserably.
"Style ourselves my ass! Yeah, maybe if the world gave the whole band like five years to decide on which leather jackets to wear before every show!" Gwen stood before him, her hands on her hips as her foot taps on the floor impatiently. Gwen eyes his disheveled state, wondering how this guy led a handful of successful missions.
"Alright, alright.." Hobie surrendered, hand gently grabbing her cardigan off himself. "We'll get another bloody stylist.." He folded it neatly, tucking it next to his guitar and adjusting himself to go back to sleep, muttering small grumbles as the cushy chair sinks to his liking.
Gwen walks out of the room with a loud bang of the door after making sure he's true to his word and giving many suspicious glares his way.

This is my poem called “Kiss”:
Kiss:
“It’s just a scene,” I said when I stepped onto the scene
Our roles are ready to play
Even though my director was kind of mean
I feel confident today.
As we begin the scene, both of our eyes meet each other
It was a kiss scene, wasn’t much of a bother
But when we slammed our lips together, our words collided
I wanted to do it again, it made me quite excited
Not because I was in love, that was not the case
But I felt safe with him
As he wrapped his arms around my waist
“It’s just a scene they say”
“It’s just a role”
Now when I go to kiss him for the scene replay
My mind loses control.
What’s wrong with you Noah?
Focus on your part
I should’ve ignored these feelings
I should’ve ignored them from the start.
It’s too late to go back though
I wonder how he feels
When we hug each other for the scene
We both know that it’s not real
.
.
But my feelings are real
I can’t deny
I love him, I love him!
If we part then I might die!
I wonder if he knows my true feelings
Or is just completely oblivious
I mean my feelings aren’t discrete
So it should be obvious
.
.
.
.
As we walk on the red carpet
To watch our progress
He pulled me aside
And told me that his inquiry could not rest.
He asks me on a date
Of course, I approved
Then he kissed me again.
For real this time too.
THE BOLDED LINES ARE MY QUOTE~
